The library offers an advice and support to research service to the UDC university community. This service is provided on demand, for which the library can be contacted in person, by telephone (881 013 602) or by e-mail (biblioteca.patin@udc.gal).
This service includes issues such as:
- Name standardisation in research profiles / Correct institutional affiliation (ORCID, WoS, Scopus, etc.)
- Publishing strategies
- Best journals to publish in (impact indexes)
- Help for accreditation and evaluation of research activity / sexenios (bibliometric indicators)
- How to publish in the RUC
- Open access
The Library Service website offers a selection of research support resources, as well as research guides (Infoguías, in Spanish), with updated information on all these issues.
Students
The library also offers advice to students of any degree and course on issues related to:

- Databases
- Course Reserves
- Final Degree/Master's Degree Project: citations and bibliographic references, reference manager software, plagiarism...
