Thematic Guides (Fiador) are a selection of open information resources or subscribed by the UDC related to the thematic areas of teaching and research of the university. Its objective is to facilitate the academic community the location of interesting and useful resources. Librarians of the Library Service - Information Section of the UDC and the center libraries developed each of the thematic guides within their field of knowledge, keeping them up-to-date and incorporating the suggestions of teachers.

The guides offer all kinds of resources (databases, thematic portals, blogs, search engines, catalogs, institutions ...) sorted by alphabetical order but it is also possible to use the search engine to locate them. Each of these resources is accompanied by a brief description and icons on the left that indicate the type of resource, access mode, existence of manuals of use, etc.

The Library of Sociology & Communication Sciences developed several guides among which we highlight the Resource Guide on Cinema. It is also useful the guide on Cinema and Education made by the staff of the Library of Education Sciences of the UDC.
