The library occupies an area of 844m2 spread over 2 floors and has 183 reading seats. The use of this place is opened for anyone who comes (you don´t have to be affiliated). However, students will have preference for the use of reading seats in exams periods.
Any document can be consulted in our reading rooms without having to show the user card. Collection is divided into two types of material depending on their access regime:
You can take the material directly on the shelves of the library.
Restricted Access
It doesn´t mean that you can´t consult it or borrow it, but that we are intermediaries in your access. It is necessary that you request them to us by providing the call number or code that you will find in the catalog. Restricted access material includes:
Non-lending Material
Regardless of the access mode there is a type of material that we don´t borrow. In the catalog it appears as "USE IN THE LIBRARY" and we distinguish it by a white label with letters in red. Usually this type of material are dictionaries, encyclopedias, or unpublished documents (Bacherlor / Master Thesis) or difficult to replace. Periodicals are also included in non-lending material.
Everyone can use the 4 computers that there are in the entrance, even to use office programs or to surf the Internet. If they are all busy, we will give preference to the catalog query and electronic library resources above any other use.
In addition you have a microfiche reader and DVD and VHS players to consult specific material, 14 tables with installed power outlet and two wifi repeaters to facilitate high-speed wireless access.
You can ask for strips, headphones, mobile chargers and a External CD/DVD Reader-Writer at the lending desk.
