Film literature

October - December 2015

There has always been a close relationship between the cinema and literature, and the former has taken themes and storylines from the latter. In this library we made a selection of movies- more or less- directly based on a literary work and we placed them together.

                                                                    

 

 

A world of books

June - September 2015

We use summer to exhibit works which have traveled as their main theme: some are narrations of experiences of their authors, others are stories that happened only in the writers' imagination. We have also included theoretical essays on this literary genre and travel guides.

 

 

53 years illuminating our language (1963-2015)

May 2015

On the occasion of the "Día das Letras Galegas", we salute the 53 authors who have been recognized with this day since 1963: from Rosalía de Castro to Xosé Filgueira Valverde.

 

 

 

Galician language can fit the world

April 2015

Complementing the reading marathon of texts translated into Galician, which was organized by the Committee on Linguistic Normalization of the Faculty of Philology, we organize an exhibition with books translated into Galician from other languages (English, French, Italian, Spanish, classical languages...).

 

George Eliot at the library

Exhibition on the British writer George Eliot (1819-1880), author we chose to participate in the cycle "Women in the libraries of the UDC", which, for the third year, was organized to commemorate the International Women's Day.
