 Little readers, big thinkers
Little readers, big thinkersdecember 2016-january 2017
With this exhibition we pretend to do our small homage to the wealth of the Galician children's literature, as we know that the young readers of today will be the adult thinkers of the tomorrow.
 In 2016 in the memory
In 2016 in the memoryjune-september 2016
We don't want the celebration of the IV centenary of Cervantes and Shakespeare to overshadow other centenaries (death or birth) of great writers: Jack London, Antonio Buero Vallejo, Camilo José Cela, Charlotte Brontë, Rubén Darío, Roald Dahl, Giorgio Bassani... So, this summer, we decided to remember them by exhibiting their works in the library.
Día das Letras Galegas : Manuel María
Día das Letras Galegas : Manuel Maríamay 2016
Playwright, essayist, storyteller and, mainly, poet. This is Manuel María Fernández Teixeiro, with more than enough merits to devote him the Día das Letras Galegas 2016 and, at our library, an exhibition with his works.

Irmandades da Fala : today's voices
Irmandades da Fala : today's voicesapril 2016
On May 18th, 1916, the Villar Ponte brothers summoned an assembly in the Real Academia Galega de A Coruña, to which assisted intellectuals like Manuel Lugrís Freire, Florencio Vaamonde Lores, Uxío Carré Aldao and Francisco Tettamancy, among others. There the first of the Irmandades da Fala was born: a nationalist organisation active until 1931 that would have as their aim the defence, exaltation and promotion of Galician language and culture, developing an important literary and political work. This year we commemorate their centenary with this exhibition at the library.
 Sharing Rosalía
Sharing Rosalíafebruary-march 2016
Rosalía de Castro is the matriarch of Galician literature but also a pioneer of women that wrote and still write poetry in Galicia. We wanted to remark both characteristics in this exhibition, inaugurated on 24 February, Rosalía’s day; therefore we show her writings and the essays that try to explain her work, but also a selection of Galician female poets of the last decades that follow the path she initiated.
 Carnival letters
Carnival lettersfebruary 2016
Carnival is here, so we have looked into our collection and we have found literary works and essays about this holiday, cookbooks with recipes, posters and "apropósitos" (small theatre pieces) typical of A Coruña’s Carnival. You can see all of this these days at the library.
