Procedure for registering as an authorised external user

All persons who wish may apply for an external authorized user card.


PROCEDURE

If you wish to register as an external authorized user you have to send the following documentation to the email: accesodoc.biblioteca@udc.gal:

  • The completed and signed registration form.
  • An image or scanned copy of your ID card or driver's license

The printed form is also available at the University libraries for those who prefer to submit it in person.

Once registered, the user will receive a welcome letter and an email that will allow them to change their password.

After a few days, the cards will be available and can be collected at the library selected by the user.


Renewal

The card is valid for one year. Renewal can be requested as long as you do not have expired loans. For renewal, the same form will be used but it is not necessary to attach any other document.

 

Loan conditions

You can borrow 6 books for 10 days. More information in the University of A Coruña Loan Policy and in the Loan Guide

 

Identification

En Crunia

To sign in your library account in the Library Catalogue (CRUNIA) you must log in as an Authorized User with the user name (21+DNI) and the password you chose during the registration process.

Identifying will allow you:

  • Know the loan conditions of echa material and its avalability
  • Consult your loans and renew them
  • Make and consult your reservations and requests
  • Access your reading history

Authorised users may only consult electronic resources on the computers in the school libraries.

In the library

You will borrow books by presenting one of the following documents:

  • Library card
  • Officia identification document (DNI, passport, driver's licence, etc.)
Wi-Fi

The use of the UDC wireless network is restricted to the university community. External authorized users cannot access the Wi-Fi no pueden acceder a la wifi, unless they are ex-students (they will access with their old university username and password through the udcportal network) or members of other universities that participate in the eduroam project. In this case, they will use the eduroam network configuring their computer following the guidelines of their institution of origin.
