In the scientific activity area, there are four laboratories coordinated by different members of the group. Each laboratory is focused on a specific discipline which is also closely related to the others through the common core of Artificial Intelligence, IoT and Industry 4.0.

Cross-cutting continuous improvement activities are grouped in another organisational activity. Their objectives are to increase the impact and capacities of members, as well as to manage projects. They also seek to establish and strengthen national and international collaborations:

• Coordination of pre and post-doctoral training activities.
• Project management.
• Coordination of collaborations, internationalisation and dissemination.

Finally, one part of the structure is dedicated to technical support to laboratories and another to research support and management tasks.
