Our GIPED colleague Carolina Rodríguez Llorente has just started her research stay at the Kyoto University (Kyoto, Japan) under the supervision Prof Dr Emmanuel Manalo. Carolina will be working on her doctoral thesis and other research tasks for three months at this institution. The stay is partially funded by the Consellería de Educación of the Xunta de Galicia.

Our GIPED colleague Fátima María Díaz Freire has just started her research stay at the Ghent University (Ghent, Belgium) under the supervision of Prof Dr Martin Valcke. Fátima will be working on her doctoral thesis for three months at this institution. The stay is funded by a Xunta de Galicia pre-doctoral contract.

Our GIPED colleague Tania Vieites Lestón has just started her research stay at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Thessaloniki, Greece) under the supervision of Prof Dr Eleftheria S. Gonida. Tania will be working on her doctoral thesis for three months at this institution. The stay is funded by an FPI pre-doctoral contract.

Our GIPED colleague Rocío González Suárez has just started her research stay at the Kennesaw State University (Georgia, USA) under the supervision of Prof Dr Iván M Jorrín Abellán. Rocío will be working on her doctoral thesis for three months at the Interactive Research Methods Lab of the BCOE Research Consortium, Bagwell College of Education. The stay is funded by the Inditex-UDC 2021 grant for pre-doctoral stays.

GIPED pre-doctoral student Tania Vieites Lestón has just completed a research stay at the Escola de Psicologia  in the Universidade do Minho (Braga, Portugal). The stay, which took place between May and July, was supervised by Prof Dr Pédro Rosário, who is the leading researcher of the Grupo Universitário de Investigação em Autorregulação (GUIA). During this time, Tania had the opportunity to work with the researchers of the GUIA. The stay was funded by the Inditex-UDC 2021 grant for pre-doctoral stays.

 

 

 

 

May 2019

Following her colleagues' footsteps, GIPED member Carolina Rodríguez Llorente carried out a pre-doctoral research stay at the Escola de Psicologia in the Universidade do Minho (Braga, Portugal) between May and July. Under the supervision of GIPED's collaborator Prof Dr Pedro Rosário, Carolina had the opportunity to deepen her doctoral thesis within the GUIA, the research team that Prof Dr Rosário directs. This stay was funded by the Inditex-UDC 2019 grant for pre-doctoral stays.

Iris Estévez, who is a PhD student in GIPED, has completed a research stay at the Escola de Psicologia at the University of Minho (Braga, Portugal), which was supervised by Prof. Dr Pedro Rosário. Prof. Dr Rosário is one of the leading researchers in the field of school homework. This research stay was funded by the Inditex-UDC 2016 grant for predoctoral stays.

Bibiana Regueiro, who is a PhD student in GIPED, has just finished a research stay at the Hector Research Institute of Education Sciences and Psychology at the University of Tübingen (Germany), which was supervised by Prof. Dr Ülrich Trautwein.

Bibiana Regueiro, who is a PhD student in GIPED, has completed a two-month research stay granted by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports at the Johns Hopkins University (EE.UU.) under the supervision of Prof Joyce L. Epstein. Prof Epstein is the head of the Center on School, Family, and Community Partnerships and the National Network of Partnership Schools (NNPS).
