Wellington Alves is an Assistant Professor at Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo and also Scientific Researcher at the Algoritmi Research Centre from University of Minho. Received his Ph.D. degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from University
of Minho, with work in Evaluation of Sustainability in the Mining Sector. Participated in several international conferences, under a Science Without Boarders Grant. He is the author of over 11 publications, in international conferences and in scientific journals.
Currently he performs scientific research in the areas of social innovation, sustainability and circular economy. His scientific interests cover logistics, social Innovation, sustainability assessment, industrial symbiosis and sustainability.
