Bülent Güzel is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul and Adjunct Faculty in School of Management at New York Institute of Technology in Vancouver. Bülent completed his Ph.D. at the University of British Columbia and his master studies at Istanbul Technical University in 2009 and 1997, respectively. His research interests lie in the area of fluid mechanics focusing on hydrodynamic instabilities in visco-plastic fluids and fluid-solid interactions. He has worked and collaborated actively in several other disciplines of marine engineering, mechanical engineering and management in various universities and colleges in Canada, France and Turkey. He also worked and supervised in different research and industrial projects. He has 5 years of industrial experience in glass production and long distance pipeline systems in Turkey and Canada. He worked as Director of Technology Transfer Office at Yildiz Technopark of YTU in the years of 2016-2017. He worked as Coordinator of the project “Establishing Entrepreneur Acceleration Mechanisms and Creating a Progress Monitoring System” in Istanbul. He was a Board Member of Starcamp International Incubation Centre of StarTurk Inc. in Palo Alto, CA, USA in 2017.
