Georgia Garani

Georgia Garani received a BSc in Physics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece, a MSc in Advanced Computing from King’s College, University of London, UK and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Birkbeck College, University of London, UK. She has more than 20 years’ experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Digital Systems Department of the University of Thessaly in Greece and an adjunct faculty member at the Hellenic Open University. She is involved in a series of research projects. Her research interests include temporal and spatial databases, data warehousing, parallel and distributed computing, query optimization, quantum computing. She is the author of many research papers and member of various journals and conferences reviewing committees.
