Israel Temprano

Born in La Coruña, I graduated as B.Sc. in Chemistry from Universidade da Coruña in 2003. I obtained my M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees, on enantiospecific synthesis and molecular electronics respectively, from Université Laval (Canada). In 2009 I was appointed Marie
Curie post-doctoral research associate at the University of Liverpool working on materials functionalization. Later that year I moved to the University of Cambridge to work on heterogeneous catalysis with Professor Sir David King. In 2016 I joined the group of Professor Dame Clare Grey to develop a novel type of high-performance batteries for the future of automotive industry. Currently I am a Principal Investigator at the University of Cambridge working on unveiling novel systems for electrochemical energy storage and conversion.
