"Role of feedback connections in the visual processing": thanks to the funding offered by Ministerio de Economía e Industria we could study feedback connections between motor cortex and primary visual cortex and lateral geniculate nucleus of the thalamo and its role in visual processing.
"Virtual reality as a support tool in Parkinson Disease (PD) and elderly population": in collaboration with Instituto de Investigaciones Tecnológicas de la Universidade de Santiago, we developed a therapy which improves the movement of PD pacients in virtual reality. The objective was to search an alternate tract, by imitation, which make possible the stimulation of control mechanisms of movement. The project was funded by Dirección Xeral de Investigación, desenvolvemento e innovación of Xunta de Galicia.
Diverciencia – "Curto-Circuitos de Neurociencia": it was an activity funded by Dirección Xeral de Investigación, desenvolvemento e innovación of Xunta de Galicia and made for 8 and 9 year-old children who had fun in neuroscientific workshops where they discovered and learnt about the fascinating and complex world of the human nervous system.
