The last 5-6 of September took place at the Faculty of Sociology, University of A Coruña the International Workshop: Money in transformation: actors, processes and social effects of financial innovation- MONFIN associated with the ongoing project of the same name PID2019-106273RB-I00. It aimed to debate the different research and transfer of knowledge results carried out. Rounding the mid-term period of development was a key point to evaluate the consecution of the main objectives and organize subsequent short/ mid and long-term activities. It also served as a turning point that allowed the team to define the next objectives to be achieved by the various research teams involved in the project, to consolidate the research network and its future projection.
And it got is the goal. The interest in the communications presented and the intensity of the discussions evidenced the common points of the research drawn by the project framework. At the same time that new horizons were opened setting the next steps and new possibilities of collaboration, fostering the interdisciplinary research network created at MONFIN. Furthermore, as the first back-in-person meeting after COVID-19, it served as evidence of the hard-work capacity of the team to overcome challenging times with great results.
Now, while the research team keeps working around the last stage of the project and looking forward to the upcoming activities, MONFIN is glad to leave you with the summary – in pictures- of the workshop.
