The Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions aim to ensure the optimal development and dynamic use of Europe's intellectual capital. Their main purpose is to support the mobility, training and career development of researchers from all over the world who wish to pursue their careers in Europe.

Postdoctoral Fellowships (PF-MSCA)

These are individual training and research projects. Their aim is to promote excellence through the implementation of a research project, enhancing the creativity and innovation potential of researchers who already hold a doctoral degree, with no more than 8 years' experience since their doctoral thesis.

There are two modalities:

  • European Postdoctoral Fellowships
  • Global Postdoctoral Fellowships

Doctoral Networks (DN-MSCA)

These are consortia for the recruitment of doctoral candidates. Consortia must be made up of at least three independent entities.

There are three types of doctoral networks:

  • General Doctoral Networks
  • Industrial Doctoral Networks
  • Joint Doctoral Networks
Staff Exchanges (SE-MSCA)

These are collaborative R&D&I projects developed through exchanges of research staff and innovators between public and private entities, both within and outside Europe.

Co-funding programmes (MSCA-Cofund)

This involves the co-funding of research-related mobility programmes. These are actions dedicated to co-financing new or pre-existing institutional, regional or national schemes for doctoral training or for support for the recruitment of postdocs, with an international focus.

MSCA & CITIZENS

They are aimed to bring research and the activity of research staff closer to the general public, thus improving knowledge about the role that research plays in the development of society and its impact on our daily lives.
