The aim of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities' Ramón y Cajal (R&C) contract grants programme is to promote the incorporation of Spanish and foreign research personnel with an outstanding track record, so that they can acquire the skills and abilities that will enable them to obtain a stable position in a research organisation in Spain. The grants have a duration of 5 years, are announced annually and are aimed at candidates with a minimum postdoctoral experience of 2 years and a maximum of 10 years.
The ATRAE programme for the incorporation of consolidated talent, of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, aims to facilitate the incorporation of research talent, of recognised international prestige and who have recently developed a relevant period of their professional activity abroad. The duration of the project may be 3 or 4 years, involves stabilisation within the university and is aimed at candidates with a minimum postdoctoral experience of 7 years.
The Beatriz Galindo Grants programme for the attraction of research talent of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities aims to attract and train researchers who are developing their professional careers abroad. The grants will have a duration of 4 years and have two modalities: the senior modality (with a minimum of 7 years of postdoctoral experience) and the junior modality (with less than 7 years of postdoctoral experience).
The aim of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities grants to encourage Researchers Consolidation is to promote the consolidation of the professional career of research personnel, encouraging the creation of permanent positions and facilitating the consolidation of a line of research. The duration of the project is 2 years, involves stabilisation within the university and is aimed at candidates with an R3 certificate.
The Juan de la Cierva (JdC) programme of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities aims to promote the incorporation of young PhD graduates to complete their postdoctoral training in R&D centres in Spain. The grants have a duration of 2 years, are announced annually and are aimed at candidates with a maximum postdoctoral experience of 2 years.
