The University Reception Programme at the University of A Coruña arose as an iniciative in 2019, whe the UDC joined the programme "Rapid Response Mechanism for Higher Education in Emergencies", Jorge Sampaio, to facilitate university studies for people seeking international protection.

Its main objective is to contribute to alleviate the situation of people seeking asylum in Europe, increasing the reception capacity of society from the perspective of education.

To offer support grants to students who are enrolled or who wish to enrol at the UDC and who need help to continue or start their studies, and  the students will have access to grants in accomodation, food or transportation.

To aplicable this grants, the student be endorsed bay any of the organisations that have signed an agreement with the UDC.
