What is our mission?

The Office for Gender Equality’s mission is to ensure compliance with the principle of equality between women and men in order to achieve the full incorporation of women into the political, cultural and scientific life of the UDC.

What is our vision?

Our ultimate goal is to achieve more equal teaching, learning, research and professional activity. We also look to prevent any gender discrimination that may appear at the UDC and in its social and cultural environment.

 

What services do we offer?

  1. The promotion of studies on gender issues at the UDC.
  2. Support for the introduction of the gender perspective in the different areas of knowledge through the promotion of training and research on gender issues.
  3. Dissemination, awareness-raising and outreach activities on gender equality.
  4. The development of actions that guarantee equal conditions for the access and promotion of women and men in teaching and research activity, as well as in the professional and representative activities of the UDC.
  5. Collaboration with Galician, state and international administrations and institutions with the goal of achieving gender equality.
  6. Identify, inform and, if necessary, mediate possible conflicts due to gender discrimination in the academic and professional activity of the UDC.
  7. Serve as an observatory of gender issues at the UDC.
