Environmental volunteering

How to become an UDC environmental volunteer?

As part of the UDC community, you can choose between this to ways of being an active volunteer:

  1. Participating in specific calls for volunteering, usually between 2 and 3 hours of duration. The topics are wide ranging, you can participate in field work for biodiversity conservation, do mappings and responsible consumption audits, waste and water management, amongst other activities. These calls are uploaded to the News (Actualidad) tab inside OMA’s website: https://www.udc.es/sociedade/medio_ambiente/
  2. Signing up for the stable volunteering activities during the school year. Usually, this requires 1 to 3 hours a week. You can get more information about our Environmental Volunteering Activities Program (gal) and choose those that fit more to  your liking and availability.

Next, you have to do a formal application:
- Coruña's Campus: oma@udc.gal
- Ferrol's Campus: ocvfer@udc.gal

Afterwards we will contact you from the OMA to schedule an interview, and in order to start you will only have to sign a written agreement of engagement.

Along the lines of the credit acknowledgement normative, passed by the Government Council in July 21st, 2016, 1 credit equals to 10 hours of training.
