Workshop description
From its first steps, Corpus Linguistics has proved to be a solid tool for linguistic research and is now being successfully adopted by other disciplines such as the social sciences, geography studies, etc. Many of the available courses and workshops on corpus linguistics teach how to use the methodology but other aspects such as corpus compilation are seldom addressed.
This workshop aims at showing what lies behind the scenes. Members and collaborators of the Muste team will offer a variety of experiences working with and IN the CC and will provide participants with the opportunity to experience XML on real material.
