Vasyl Erastov is an Associate Professor at the Insurance, Banking, and Risk Management Department of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2019 on the public defence of the 'Internet-insurance on Ukrainian insurance services market' thesis. Since 2016, his research has focused on risk-based decision-making and innovations in financial markets, with expertise in insurance, risk management, behavioural finance, business intelligence, and artificial intelligence.

Vasyl has authored over 60 publications, including textbooks and peer-reviewed articles focused on innovations in the insurance sector and the integration of advanced technologies in financial markets. With more than a decade of teaching experience, he has designed and delivered cutting-edge courses such as Behavioural Finance, Business Intelligence, Fundamentals of Information Technology, and Information Technologies in Insurance.

Beyond academia, Vasyl Erastov holds a certificate in Banking Risk Assessment from the National Bank of Ukraine. With over seven years of experience across the IT industry, insurance, and digital marketing, he currently is the Team Lead at a leading technology company. His work bridges technical innovation and business strategy, bringing real-world IT expertise and leadership experience directly into his academic teaching and research.
