Dr Lela Mirtskhulava

Dr. Mirtskhulava is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and San Diego State University Georgia. She obtained her Ph.D in Computer Science. Last semester she was a part-time faculty in the department of Computer engineering at San Jose State University, CA. She joined SJSU in Fall semester 2018 as a Fulbright Research Scholar. She worked as an ICT senior engineer in industry for fifteen years. Her main research interest is in the areas of ANN modeling for stroke diagnosis, medical applications of ANN, post-quantum cryptography, mobile app development, IoT security issues, mathematical modeling, wireless technologies and system reliability analysis. Dr. Mirtskhulava’s experience in the realm of artificial intelligence is unique. She was the first who developed an artificial intelligence capable of diagnosing stroke patients. Her prototype of an artificial intelligence distinguishes between stroke patients and normal subjects with > 99% accuracy. Dr. Mirtskhulava has also served as a visiting professor at the University of Cambrige, UK. She is the recipient of DAAD Scholarship in scope of Academic staff exchange program in Germany. She is a keynote speaker and serves as the technical Committee and advisory board member in the several international conferences.
