Dr Anni Marcela Garzón Segura

Psychologist from the Universidad Externado de Colombia, Master in interdisciplinary gender studies from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and PhD in Interdisciplinary Gender Studies from the Universidad de Salamanca. Work experience
as a professor and researcher in the university field in psychology and social and human sciences faculties and through psychoeducational guidance in Colombian public and private schools. The main topics of intervention and research that have been of interest are gender based violence, masculinities, paternities and psycholinguistics in relation to the gender variable. She is currently conducting research on the invisible violence (economic and psychological) towards women, on the relationship between health, gender and migration and research-actions with communities victims of the Colombian armed conflict, making use of the application of the gender perspective through the GALS methodology (Gender Action Learning System). She has consulted with public and private entities around the research, prevention and attention of violence in the family. She has made presentations in countries such as Spain, Mexico, Cuba, Argentina, Costa Rica and Colombia, which has allowed her to approach the Latin and Spanish social reality.
