Anamaria Marc

I am a senior lecturer (Ph.D) at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, where I teach various courses related to pre-service teacher training: French didactics, teaching with ICT tools, classroom management and instructional design.

I am interested in the understanding of emotional and cognitive aspects of learning, the role of sustainability and social justice in foreign language acquisition and in the impact of technology and AI in foreign language teaching. My research also focuses on the benefits of project-based learning, simulations and virtual exchange and on the impact of active learning techniques in enhancing learners’ ability to build intercultural communicative competence. I have taken part in both national and international initiatives, including the MEPRID-FLE and MoDiMes projects, as well as teacher training seminars held in France, Belgium, and Switzerland.

Since 2019, I have been involved in the project Virtual Exchange and Simulations, initiated by the Catholic University of Valencia, Spain, which offers a valuable framework for examining intercultural collaboration and technology-mediated learning among pre-service students. I have also participated in Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility Programs in Spain. I am an ad-hoc peer reviewer for Simulation & Gaming and for Journal of Studies in Language, Culture and Society (JSLCS). My proficiency level in English is B2
