Raluca Pop

I am a senior lecturer (Ph.D) teaching a range of courses in Norwegian and English didactics, classroom management, instructional design, and the use of ICT and authentic resources in education. These courses are addressed to students enrolled in a pre-service teacher training program.

My research interests include intercultural communicative competence, didactic simulations, foreign language teaching, foreign language learning anxiety, sustainability, and AI-powered learning. I have participated in several international projects, including European Comics: Mental Health Teaching and Professional Education, Dial4U, INTACT, and ELIRA 2.0, as well as numerous training programs in Romania, Norway, and Sweden.

Since 2018, I have collaborated with the Catholic University of Valencia on the Virtual Exchange and Simulation project, which has provided our students with the opportunity to engage in experiential learning through virtual didactic simulations and develop their intercultural and pedagogical competencies. I have also participated in various Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility Programs in Portugal, Italy, Spain, Hungary, and Norway. These experiences have contributed to the development of my intercultural communicative competence, enhanced my teaching expertise, and facilitated the exchange of good educational practices.

My proficiency level in English is C2. I hold a degree from the Faculty of Humanities in Cluj-Napoca, where I majored in English. Additionally, I am a certified sworn translator for English and Norwegian.
