The catalog is the main instrument to explore the bibliographic collection of the UDC and to manage your loans (My Account). The collection consists of printed and electronic materials and includes resources purchased by the UDC, subscribed by the UDC and free resources in the network that we catalog.

Scanning is carried out thanks to the document description put in effect by the library staff and usually comprises 3 phases: search and display of results (the most harnessed by the users).

In this section you will find guidelines and tips to get the most out of the catalog. While it´s very important to establish good search strategies, we recommend that you also pay attention to the results screen. Making mistakes in the interpretation of what we see on there may lead you to think, erroneously, that we don´t have a document that does form part of our collection.
