Citing web pages properly is not easy when some elements of the citation are difficult to locate at a glance.
First of all, most of the web page citations start with the title because the authorship is unknown. On the other hand, authorship must not be confused with publishing responsibility. Editors usually are organizations and entities.
As far as title is concerned, it is recommended to look to the most relevant words on the home page or the code source (viewable through the Web browser). If, in spite of that, title can’t be determined, you must create one in square bracket using the first words on the opening screen.
When it comes to the edition of web pages, place of publication and date of publication are the most delicate elements. The first one usually appears in sections such as “Contact us” or “About us”. Date of publication will be chosen following this order: date of copyright, date of update or revision, or the date of citation.
