There is a delivery service among all the UDC libraries so that users can have access to the whole library collection without leaving their faculty or school. Any user can request this service at its library or at Crunia, as it was explained in Requesting.
The intercentre loan conditions will be the same as those of the home loan.
Once the document arrives at the requesting library, it will be kept on the day of its receipt and the next, and it will be returned to the original library on the third day if the user has not collected it.
This service is restricted to the members of the university community. The length of the loan will be 15 days, which may be renewed once for another 15 day period, unless requested by another user. The e-reader shall always be returned in the library where it was borrowed. The borrower is responsible for the e-reader and the devices that are delivered with it (card, cable, usb and case); these must be returned under the same conditions in which they have been delivered. The user shall make a respectful use of the material and must not modify its settings or change the contents of the card.

The different libraries of the UDC offer, as a whole, around 3,400 study seats to consult their collections. In some cases there are specific areas to consult special collections (rare books, microforms ...) and periodicals..
Considering the facility you have in renew your loans and the geographical flexibility offered by the intercenter loan, which allows for the return of any UDC library, there are no excuses for the lack of punctuality. Repeated breach of the loan and return rules will mean a temporary suspension of the loan service.
From the moment of return, user will be penalized without being able borrow books for as many business days as there are documents with an overdue loan and accumulated days of delay, up to a maximum of 40 days. Penalties are cumulative.
Example: if the user has 4 books and is 5 days late in returning them, they will be penalized with 20 business days (4 weeks, if there are no holidays in between) without being able to borrow documents.
In addition, the deterioration or loss of books will mean its replacement for ones of the same edition. The library directorship to which the document belongs will choose one of similar characteristics if it is sold out. The center secretariat may require students and UDC workers (PDI or PAS), at the time they apply for their degree or when the working relationship with the university ends, to regularize their situation with the library in case of having outstanding loans in order to ensure the return or replacement of documents (article 5.5 of the Loan Rules of the UDC library).
Users will receive claim messages of non-return documents and notification of penalties in they UDC email account. Try to keep your account free of space so that the emails don´t come back to the service.
