The Environmental Radioactivity Laboratory of the Universidade da Coruña (LRA-UDC) is located in the CIS Technology and Design Building (Centro de Innovación y Servicios de la Tecnología y el Diseño) on A Cabana Street, s/n, Ferrol (A Coruña). It is part of the Ciencia y Técnica Cibernética (CTC) research group at the UDC.
It has highly specialized facilities and equipment in which the following are performed:
- Determination of gamma emitters of artificial and natural origin
- Total alpha, total beta, and total gamma activity indices
- Sr-89 and Sr-90 activities
- Radioiodine (I-131) activities
- Radon determination
