The research group MARES (Materials and Renewable Energy for Engineering, Environment and Sustainability) is made up of a multidisciplinary team of researchers from the University of A Coruña (UDC) who work in different areas of engineering with the aim of improving sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of various industrial activities.

The group, located at the Polytechnic School of Engineering of Ferrol (EPEF), is recognized as a group with growth potential by the Department of Education, Science, Universities and Vocational Training of the Xunta de Galicia.
