To put an end to plastic pollution worldwide
World Environment Day is an initiative led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) that is organized annually around a theme and serves to focus attention on a particularly pressing issue. This year, 2025, it focuses on one of the most persistent and urgent environmental challenges of our time: plastic pollution.
Under the slogan "Stop Plastic Pollution”, this commemoration seeks to mobilize governments, businesses, communities, and individuals in response to the growing scientific evidence on the effects of plastic pollution and invites us to drastically reduce the use of single-use plastics and transform our relationship with plastic: to reject it, reduce it, reuse it, recycle it, and, above all, to rethink it to build a cleaner and more sustainable future.
